DRY POINT WITH A COLLAGRAPH TWIST. 2 PLACES LEFT
This dry point technique has all the qualities of a traditional looking etching without the chemicals. Add a collagraph twist to the technique by adding tapes to create volume and tone to the image. Chine collee will also be explored.

COLLAGRAPH WITH A LINO PRINT TWIST.
Spend 2 days learning how to make collagraph plates using glue and wall papers printed together with a lino print feature. The workshop will cover registration of images, chine collee and a variety of inking techniques.
This is an ideal workshop for artists who want to extend their printmaking knowledge and beginners who want to learn some basic printmaking.

GUM ARABIC TRANSFER PRINTING ON FABRIC
Create a stash of textile prints to embellish and develop at a later date. Using a black and white photocopy, transfer indelible images of drawings or text onto a variety of textile surface.

COLLAGRAPH BASIC WITH A TEXTILE TWIST.
Spend 2 days learning how to make collagraph plates using glue and wall papers. Basically collagraphs are collages sealed and inked like etching plates, this is a good starting point for those who have never made a collagraph before or artists who want to remind themselves of the basics. We will also experiment with printing onto fabric...so bring along your stash.

COLLAGRAPH EXPLORING THREE PLATE COLOUR SEPARATION
Using basic collagraph techniques explore colourful, colour separation printmaking. Learn offsetting and registration producing a suite of prints embracing a riot of colour. Once mastered you will always want to make collagraphs this way.

Do you have a Gelli Plate and are looking for advanced techniques in using it? This one day workshop will cover a variety of transfer techniques using magazines and wax, together with layering and over printing.

MIXED MEDIA SKETCH BOOK TECHNIQUES. Includes Gum Arabic transfer.
This is Sue Brown’s signature workshop.
Using Paper Lithography and the humble black-and-white photocopy as your ‘plate’, you can make prints of photographic images.
Together with a variety of mixed media techniques using ink, oil pastel, bleach and acrylic learn how to create personal sketch book pages and artist books.
An ideal workshop to kick start your creativity for the New Year.

27-28 February
Making Collagraphs using Plaster
There are many ways to make a collagraph plate. This workshop will focus on using found textures pressed leaves, flowers, rubber stamps and textured wall papers, pressed into plaster to create textural plates. Together with glue to create tonal contrasts explore this flexible plate making process.
You will also learn several ways to ink the plates culminating in viscosity inking. After 2 days you will have a series of exciting and experimental prints.

7-9 May
PRINTMAKING MASTER CLASS.
This 3-day Master Class will cover 3 printmaking techniques and how to combine them. At the end of the course you will take home an artist’s book of your experiments for future reference. Over 3 days we will explore dry point, collagraph and lino to make a suite of hybrid prints.
