MIXED MEDIA FABRIC BOOK
13 - 14 MARCH 1 Place left
Using gum arabic transfer printing, acrylic resist, mono print, stitching and stamping to name just a few of the techniques covered, create several excitingly textural textile books. At the end of the workshop you will have created at least 2 fabric books exploring layering techniques using traditional and non traditional textile materials

19-21 MARCH FULL
Over 3 days you will fill up a sketch book, supplied as part of the workshop and explore your creativity. Learn how to beat that blank page syndrome that strikes us down as soon as we open a new sketch book. Learn how I develop my sketch book pages. This workshop will study mixed media techniques in further depth than the 2 day workshops held earlier in the year. Spend 3 days exploring personal imagery with light technical support.
10am - 4pm each day

MAKING COLLAGRAPHS USING PLASTER
8-9 MAY
There are many ways to make a collagraph plate. This workshop will focus on using found textures pressed leaves, flowers, rubber stamps and textured wall papers, pressed into plaster to create textural plates. Together with glue to create tonal contrasts explore this flexible plate making process. You will also learn several ways to ink the plates culminating in viscosity inking. After 2 days you will have a series of exciting and experimental prints.

COLLAGRAPH WITH BOTANICAL CONTACT PRINTED PAPERS
22-23 MAY
Using leaves and flowers create beautiful botanical backgrounds on paper. Then spend the rest of the workshop making collagraphs to print onto them.
You will also be experimenting with a variety of inking techniques and will come away with a unique collection of prints on paper

PRINTMAKING MASTER CLASS: NEW FOR 2021
This 3 day Master Class will cover 3 printmaking techniques and how to combine them to create a mixed printed image. At the end of the course you will take home an artists book of your experiments for future reference.
The processes I will cover will be simple collagraph, dry point, lino and gum arabic transfer printing. I will add chine collee to the mix, together with several inking techniques.
We will spend the Sunday afternoon creating a concertina book of your printed experiments as an reference for future printmaking projects.

GUM ARABIC TRANSFER PRINTING ON FABRIC
19 JUNE
Create a stash of textile prints to embellish and develop at a later date. Using a black and white photocopy, transfer indelible images of drawings or text onto a variety of textile surface.

Printmaking is a messy business so old clothes and aprons are advised.
